1. The Ancient Foundation
For thousands of years, India was home to legendary centers of wisdom like Takshashila, Nalanda, and thousands of forest ashram Gurukuls. Education was holistic—covering astronomy, surgery, ethics, warfare, linguistics, and philosophy under one roof.

During colonial rule, the organic community-supported Gurukul network was replaced by standardized industrial schooling meant to produce clerks. The connection between mind, hands, physical fitness, and spiritual grounding was severed.
